Its ruggedised exterior and fanless design with excellent ergonomics and built in power supply give engineers the perfect faultfinding tool when roaming in the network or for permanent placement of a unit in harsh environments. The IP-Probe can be utilised for a multitude of remote functions just like to store alarm-triggered TS recordings directly to its internal memory (accessible directly via the probe’s built-in web interface or remotely). Supports both optical and electrical GigE Ethernet inputs, with separate management port and both an ASI input and output. Download the VB12 Datasheet
VB20 IP-Probe
The VB20 is a highend, portable measuring unit ideal for inspecting broadcast services as found in the distribution core of IPTV networks or hybrid transmission networks with IP transport cores. Up to 180 services can be monitored in parallel by one VB20 with full support for both the MPEG-2 TS and MFRTP encapsulation standards and all current codecs. This is an invaluable helpmate for any network engineer attempting multicast detection on multiple VLANs or in the process of IGMP tracking. Fault finding in complex IP networks just got a lot easier. The unit comes with the chioce of electrical or optical GigE, separate management port and an ASI input for legacy signals. VB120 BROADCAST IP-Probe
The VB120 is a realtime monitoring platform with applications in any network where digital video is carried across IP infrastructure. This network service tool is ideal for both pure IPTV networks and hybrid networks with IP transport cores such as digital cable and terrestrial networks. The VB120 continuously measures signal loss, packet loss and packet jitter for up to 10 IP multicasts, these vital parameters being presented through Bridgetech’s own patented MediaWindow™. Download the VB120 Datasheet
VB220 IP-Probe
The VB220 is the highend monitoring solution with up to 540 services continously monitored in a 1RU chassis. With an intelligent backplane facilitating inter module communication and built to carriergrade specifications, the VB220 is designed for ultralong lifecycle deployments, providing the industry’s best cost/performance ratio. With full support for both the MPEG2 TS and MFRTP encapsulation standards carrying all modern coding formats, the VB220 is perfect for network core and region use. Download the VB220 Datasheet
VB230 RTP reference generator
The VB230 RTP reference generator option module enables Operators to deploy a reference IPTV signal for testing purposes and as a continous beacon in xDSL, FTTH or IP based CABLE networks. Each reference generator blade outputs a seamless test stream of preconfigured bandwith. The VB230 RTP reference generator blade is supplied as an option module witch takes up one slot in the 1RU chassis. Download the VB230 Datasheet
VB250 DVB-T COFDM INPUT MODULE
The VB250 is a COFDM input option card for the BRIDGETECH 1RU rackmount chassis with the VB220 or VB120 IP-PROBE as controller (up to two VB250 COFDM input cards under its control) and offers monitoring of COFDM signals as found in DVB-T networks. One VB250 module is capable of demodulating a DVB-T multiplex for ETSI TR 101 290 fault detection and alarm generation in the full DVB-T frequency band (49 ; 861 MHz). ETSI TR 101-290 analysis is performed in parallel for DTT inputs, the ASI input and the IP input. By running in sweep mode the VB250 module is further capable of measuring analogue signal levels, in effect offering the operator a basic frequency analyzer function at the deployment location. The VB250 module is further responsible for SFN drift alarming. Download the VB250 Datasheet
VB262 DUAL QAM/VSB INPUT MODULE
This option card is an ideal solution for complete monitoring in DVB-C or hybrid DVB-C/ IP networks. One VB262 module is capable of demodulating two multiplexes (one per input) for ETSI TR101290 fault detection and alarm generation in the frequency band (44–855 MHz).The configuration with VB120 provides realtime monitoring and alarming for four QAM or VSB RF inputs, 10 IP MPTS/SPTS multicasts and one ASI TS input. With the VB220 as master card the IP monitoring capacity is increased to 260 MPTS/SPTS multicasts in addition to the RF inputs. Download the VB262 Datasheet
VB270 DVBS/S2 QPSK INPUT MODULE
This input option offers monitoring and analysis of QPSK signals found in DVB-S and DVB-S2 satellite transponders. The chassis can be equipped with a single VB120 or VB220 IP-PROBE controller card and up to two VB270 QPSK input cards under its control. The combined unit is ideal for hybrid networks where IP is used as a carrier from headend to the satellite uplink station. The builtin roundrobin feature allows sequential analysis of multiple QPSK/8PSK multiplexes, making it possible to monitor a complete transponder using a single VB270. ETSI TR 101 290 analysis is performed in parallel for QPSK inputs, the ASI input and the IP input. Download the VB270 Datasheet
VBC VideoBRIDGE CONTROLLER SERVER
VBC is a server application whose purpose is to offer central control and management of VideoBRIDGE devices such as the VB1 and VB2 series of broadcast and telco IP-Probes. Key elements in the VBC are: configuration management, stream status, 4day historical datadisplay with the Microtimeline™ technology, SNMP multidestination trap forwarding, equipment hierarchy and alarm logging. The users connect to the server by using a standard web browser as the client. Multiple browserbased clients can connect to the server through HTTP. Up to 540 channels can be monitored and aggregated in real time. Download the VBC sheet
SOFTWARE OPTIONS: ETR290-OPT This option contains full ETSI TR 101 290 monitoring and analysis. One ETR290 engine is standard on all of the VB1 series and additional ETR290 engines may be purchased up to a maximum of four on the IP input. ETR290 is optional on the VB2 series and up to four ETR290 engines can be purchased per IP input.
AET-OPT (Advanced Ethernet Tools) The AET option is standard on the VB2 series. On the VB1 series the AET option must be purchased as an option . The AET contains; FSM for validating services and devices on the network through ICMP (ping) and HTTP validation, IGMP Logging for detailed faultfinding, a complete realtime “sniffer” with protocol analysis and more.
IP-OPT (IP Monitoring and Analysis Option for the VB120) The IP Monitoring and Analysis Option activates optical and electrical Gigabit Ethernet interfaces for connection to the video segment and is standard on all probes except for the VB120 where this option may be purchased if required.
REPO-OPT (Report Generator) The Report Generator is an addition to the VBC (VideoBRIDGE Controller) and delivers Enterprise level SLA reporting and technical reporting for ProofofDelivery within the VBC server system. With advanced trending detect and display functions and a highly graphical interface the Reports is useful for both management reporting and engineering detail.
TMO-OPT (Traffic Module Option for the microVB™ system) The Traffic view of an MDC that is licensed with the Traffic Module Option provides the Operator with the ability to expand data into traffic trees to display more detailed protocol information like; IGMP, UDP, TCP and IPv6 traffic. The TMO option acts as a remote realtime “sniffer” at customer premises.
